Eight years of advocating for rail transit on the North Shore
Most candidates start talking about transit when they run for office. I started in 2018 — as an independent researcher with the data to back it up, years before it was politically convenient.
Since then, I've made the case for North Shore rapid transit in the North Shore News, the Vancouver Sun, the Toronto Star, CBC/Radio-Canada, Business in Vancouver, and on air — consistently, specifically, and years ahead of the conversation that our representatives are having now. While the district has produced a couple of studies and a promise of more buses, I've spent eight years building the research case, engaging the media, and pushing decision-makers to act. As mayor, I won't be starting from scratch on this file — I'll be picking up work I've already spent eight years building the case for, and finally getting it done.

Eight years. Fifteen pieces of coverage. One consistent message. When I say I'll check the numbers before pouring the concrete, this is what that track record actually looks like — and as mayor, it's the standard I'll hold every project to, not just this one.
