Stephan Nieweler, PhD
Real credentials. Real experience. Real solutions.
Born & raised in the District of North Vancouver, I am a transportation expert with local and international rapid transit project experience at leading firms. As an academic, I've been making an evidence-based case for North Shore transport solutions since 2018. Now I'm running for Mayor of DNV to build a better North Shore, unleashing our potential by restoring our freedom to move!

"Dr. Transit"
Diagnosis: Gridlock. Prescription: Nieweler.
Unlock Gridlock
The signature plan — not more roads, smarter capacity.
A new bridge. Real HOV lanes. Rail transit.
I have consistently advocated for a bold North Shore transport solution since 2018. The failure of the Lynn Creek bridge expansion and Council's rejection of the Lynn Canyon connector road are clear signals that we must move beyond road expansion and focus on smarter capacity. My plan delivers people-moving rail transit, HOV and express buses linked to the places we need to go.
- New multi-modal 2nd Narrows bridge with rail transit, HOV & cycling lanes
- HOV on Highway 1 to Taylor Way
- Rail transit- Ambleside to Metrotown

Since 2018, I have been making the evidence-based case for North Shore transit. My commitment is rooted in data, not opinion.
